La giuria locale dovrà selezionare le 30 migliori fotografie, 10 foto per ciscuna categoria: Luoghi, Persone, Cambiamenti Climatici. L’elenco delle foto  scelte verrà pubblicato online il 3 Novembre 2009 affinchè il pubblico lo possa votare.

 

Federica Bertolini

Federica Bertolini, coordinatrice della Giuria Locale

Federica Bertolini nata a Roma nel 1981 è una vera appassionata ed esperta in Fotografia
Laureata in scienze della comunicazione presso l'università di Roma "La Sapienza", ha frequentato
il corso di fotografia presso il "Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia Adams" di Roma. Inoltre ha realizzato una serie di servizi fotografici nell'ambito della moda e della pubblicità.

 

Emilio D'Itri

Emilio D'Itri, Giudice della Giura Locale

Emilio D’Itri , nato a Roma nel 1960, vive e lavora a Roma, fondatore di Officine Fotografiche dove cura la Direzione Artistica, fotografo, curatore di mostre, organizzatore e direttore di due importantissime manifestazioni Obiettivo Donna e Fotoleggendo una delle più importanti manifestazioni di fotografia in Italia dedicate alla lettura del Portfolio, ha al suo attivo numerose esposizioni in Italia e all’estero e diverse pubblicazioni. Da sempre affianca il suo lavoro su committenza a una ricerca costante sulla ritrattistica e la figura in genere, con percorsi definiti.

 


 

Gabriele Agostini, Giudice della Giuria Locale

Gabriele Agostini nasce a Roma nel 1958.
Nel 1997 fonda il Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia di Roma. del quale attualmente è presidente e responsabile delle relazioni esterne.
Esperto in grafica e comunicazione visiva è docente di fotografia pubblicitaria.
Sue le campagne per la Mc Cain, Operà, AICS, Herboroma, Provincia di Roma, ecc.
Promotore ed organizzatore di mostre fotografiche, seminari e convegni.
Fotografa per la Sovraintendenza del Comune di Roma.

Global Jury Chairman

Marco Delogu, professional photographer, Rome

Marco Delogu was born in 1960 in Rome, where he still lives and works. His work has often focused on group portraits of people with shared experiences, though in recent years he has turned his attention to nature, specifically the different ways in which people interact with the natural environment. Delogu has published more than 20 books, and has exhibited both in Italy and abroad – including at the Accademia di Francia, Villa Medici in Rome, Galleria Comunale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Roma, the Warburg Institute (London), the Henry Moore Foundation (Leeds), Centre George Pompidou (Paris), the Museé de l'Elysee (Lausanne) and the Moscow PhotoMuseum.

Delogu also works as a publisher and exhibition curator. In 2002 he founded the first FotoGrafia, the international festival of photography in Rome, of which he is still artistic director. In 2003 he founded the Punctum publishing house. He has curated more than 50 exhibitions featuring the work of some of the most important figures in world photography, including Josef Koudelka, Sally Mann, Olivo Barbieri, Don McCullin, Anders Petersen, Martin Parr and Graciela Iturbide.

 

Julia Rish

Julia Rish, Getty Images, NYC

Julia Michelle Rish has been the East Coast Entertainment Assignment Editor at Getty Images in New York City since 2006. Part of Julia’s role with Getty is to recruit exceptional photographers for the newsworthy entertainment events Getty covers worldwide.  Julia enjoys working with the photographers and has an enduring appreciation and respect for quality images, therefore she takes care to assign photographers to venues and events where their unique talents can shine. Prior to Julia’s position with Getty, she worked with NYC celebrity photographer Patrick McMullan as director of bookings for four years,

Julia was born in Guadalajara Mexico and then moved to the tri state area. She graduated with a BFA from Emerson College in Boston MA where she studied musical theater, photography, writing and communications. Currently she resides in NYC.

 

Paul Kelly 

Paul Kelly, Dublin

Paul has worked as a commercial photographer in Ireland for 6 years. His commissions, personal work and coverage of developmental issues have taken him to locations as diverse as Guatemala, Japan, Iceland and East Timor. He has exhibited in London, Dublin and Waterford. The major show last year 'Beyond Timor' was followed this summer by 'Dog Days' a retrospective of both shown and previously un-shown work.
This year he set up the Paul Kelly gallery in CHQ in Dublin's financial district.
In January Paul travels to Bolivia with journalist Fionnuala Cregan to examine how the political situation is affecting the people. In April he returns to Africa to cover new housing projects initiated by an Irish charity.
Paul's primary focus is people photography.

 

 

Urban Brådhe, Stockholm

Urban Brådhe is 58 years old, and has spent 37 years working as a press photographer and picture editor for several different daily newspapers. For the last 11 years he has been a staff photographer on the Metro newspaper in Stockholm. Brådhe has been a member of the board of the Swedish Journalists’ Union for two years. He is also on the board of the Swedish Press Photographers’ Club, for which he was the chairman for ten years. He is married with four children and lives in Bromma, just outside Stockholm.
