I like this a lot. It's remarkable in that it breaks a cardinal rule of composition and still succeeds so well. It can be cropped to make three successful images (the man standing below the overpass (horizontal), the sky framed by the overpass (horizontal), and the sky and the man cropped in line with the vertical beam in the middle), and as a whole, it still succeeds beautifully. As for meaning, I think it has none, which leaves it up to the viewer to decide. It's interesting that one reviewer sees it as an expression of the tragedy of the down economy and the very next comment is that it's funny. This is a gallery-quality shot.

Nice one, i like that you have done it like color and black/white. I mean the sky is colorfull and looks soo beautifull and full of freedom, but when you look in too the black/grey through you find out that it is going too be impossible for the man standing there too be colorfull, he is traped like many other in a black building of no freedom, no rights, no life...great interpretation of topic great light great color best photo!
